Following the recent relaunch of the Oryx leisure line, we are proud to celebrate the handover of the Oryx 37FX first hull, delivered to her new owner this July. The 37-footer cabin cruiser will be berthed in Tanzania, where she’s set to bring a new level of fun, freedom, and enjoyment to the East African coastline.
Named after the Oryx, a graceful and resilient desert antelope known for its power, balance, and striking presence, the brand embodies those same qualities on the water. Just like its namesake, every Oryx cruiser is built to move with purpose-agile, bold, and beautifully proportioned. It’s a name that reflects not only performance and style, but a deep-rooted connection to the region from which it was born.
Built for fun, the Oryx 37FX features expansive outdoor lounging space, a sun-drenched cockpit, and a comfortable cabin when it’s time to take a break from the sun. It combines the power and versatility of a cruiser with the elevated fit and finish Gulf Craft shipyard is known for across its award-winning superyacht brands.
The new European owner, who is also a first-time boat buyer, shared what inspired his purchase: “A friend of mine owns an Oryx, and I was instantly drawn to the design, comfort, and performance of the boat. My choice was carefully considered, I wanted a cruiser that combined both performance and practicality, and selecting Oryx was a deliberate decision. I entrusted Gulf Craft with my very first boat because of their proven reputation for building reliable vessels and providing direct regional support, which is especially valuable in emerging yachting destinations like Tanzania.”
